Frankfurt--Jan. 12--German wholesale sales in November rose a real 4.6% and up a nominal 11.6% on the year, the German Federal Statistics office said Friday. In the January-November period, wholesale sales rose a real 4.4% and up a nominal 10.8% on the year, it said.
* * * The German real, non-adjusted wholesale sales index measured 118.7 in November, compared with an upward revised 114.9 in October and 113.5 a year ago (1995=100).
Among the subsectors, non-durable and durable consumer goods showed with a 16.4% rise the largest increase in real terms, while sales of raw and recycled materials showed a decline of 1.6% and sales of food, drinks and tobacco fell 3.4% in real terms.
